Blessings we have received in Japan

Thanks to God and prayers of many, we've got back from Japan to NY without trouble.

This time around, Pastor Asano needed dental treatment which can be done by his friend in Japan at an affordable price, so we, as a couple, decided to return to Japan to join in Hakuba camp.

On the afternoon of the first Sunday when we attended a service at Tokyo Antioch Church,
surprisingly, we got invited to Mr. & Mrs. T's who live in Tokyo; we have been praying for them in NY for healing and salvation.
This time, we had a chance to pray for them in person and to tell the gospel of Jesus Christ.
They agreed to believe Him and prayed to accept Him for salvation; there was the presence of the Holy Spirit. We praise the Lord for that!

In Hakuba Camp we had wonderful blessings.

We got protected from the typhoon that was heading to Pastor Asano's hometown when he was returning there, as he was seeking God's guidance for which train to take. The train he took arrived safely at the station of his home town but the six trains after that suspended services all day.  Praise the Lord for that.

(We saw the movie in Japanese subtitles.  )

Participated in Hakuba Camp

By God's grace we, as a couple, participated in a Christian retreat called Hakuba camp this summer.  We are so thankful to have received lots of blessings in the praise and worship, through messages and the fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ who gathered from all over the country.

(Pastor Daniel Asano delivers a testimony in the main service)

Salvation work at the house we have visited

We have visited Mr. & Mrs. T's on the Sunday afternoon.

We have been praying for their healing and their aunt's.
Surprisingly, Their aunts was also at their house.
We have heard that their aunt was released from hospital two days before, healed of her pneumonia! Praise the Lord!
We have never imagined that we would meet all of them we have been interceding in prayer in NY, knowing just their names.

Immediately after allowed in their house, Pastor Asano prayed for the healing of Mr. T who has been paralyzed from the neck down, laying his hand on him.  After that, Pastor told them about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Everybody agreed to believe Him, and followed Pastor to pray to believe Jesus as their savior.
Hallelujah! !

We have recommended that they attend the services of Tokyo Antioch Church online;
we will pray they will be given follow-up according to God's will.

Also, Mr. T. has a clear head and is desperately eager to walk again.
We will keep him in prayer.

We praise the Lord's salvation work for them!
We appreciate those who have prayed with us for them.

Temporarily returning to Japan

We have arrived at Tokyo on July 18th safely.
First off, we headed to Pastor Asano's parent's house at Shimane.7

Our journey in Christ has become a testimony to Pastor Asano's brother who is not saved yet;
he has given us a prayer request for his sons' employment.
I have felt he begins to open his heart to God, although he hasn't come to believe in Jesus yet.

We will continue to pray for salvation of his brother and our family members.
May God work in their hearts to have faith in Christ.

Mother and her son have come back

A mother and her son who came to our church about a year ago have come to attend our service again.
She came to our church to seek healing for her son on a mental side.
She was surprised to find that her son had been sitting still the whole time of a worship service, and left the church saying that they would come again.
Now nearly one year has passed since then.

As a matter of fact, she says she was away from church for many days,
but this spring when she returned to Japan for a short period of time,
she went to church in the neighborhood.
When she returned to the U.S. , amazingly she saw her son being normal.
Because of that, she came back to attend the service.
Praise the Lord!

After the service, we were able to pray together since they have had several problems.

I have renewed our mission of sharing the blessing of giving thanks, exercising faith, abiding in the church, etc.
I'd like to continue to pray for that.

Visiting Boston, Massachusetts

We have visited an aunt of ours who lives in the suburb of Massachusetts to pray for her healing.
She looked well with a smiling face on all the time when we were with her.
She gladly accepted the prayer Pastor Asano prayed for her.
We'd like to continue to pray for her with expectancy of the Lord who does only good.

(At the front of State Capital House.   Sorry I can't make this photo vertical. m(_ _)m
Then we headed to Boston to give praise and worship to the Lord.  We did that on a hill of the central park and in front of the State Capital House.
We expect the upcoming work of the church with Jesus Christ as its head and revival work in Boston.

The Special Service in NY was blessed!

The service with Pastor Akimoto from Tokyo Antioch Church was held on April 11th.
In the seminar of the Spiritual gifts, he spoke from I Corinthians 14:1 about seeking the Spiritual gifts as well as love and, by using them, spreading blessing to a lot of people.
The message was delivered from I Thessalonians 5:18 and Romans 8:28; he told us about giving thanks and rejoicing, everything working out for our good, and seeing God's work or the fulfillment of His word in a long term or in an eternal term.

The short movies of Thanks & Praise & Revival Camp and of Rev. Merlin Carothers were used as well to bring blessing to the attendees, especially those who are from another church.

After the service, in the ministry session, each attendee had Pastor Akimoto pray for them .  I heard some receiving the prophetic word or the word of wisdom and knowledge, and they were encouraged.  (Note that prophecy needs to be discerned.)

There was the deep presence of the Lord throughout the service, and everyone was very happy at the end.

I give thanks to God who led and guided the service and praise Him for his work.
I truly appreciate those who prayed for this special service.

Thanks & Praise & Revival Camp

Pastor Daniel Asano is grateful that he participated in the Thanks & Praise & Revival Camp held in Los Angeles from March 27 through March 31.

Served as MC on the first night
On the second day Prayer Chapel miraculously became available for us to pray for two hours!2日目の午前中、プレヤーチャペルが奇跡的に開かれました!
This is the place where some starting members of the Lord's Cross Christian Center Church prayed thoroughly and received the word of promise for Revival from the Book of Habakuku.
All the team members for the Revival Camp not only prayed there but had a time of worship together.
On the second night, he brought a testimony.

He was given a word from God while praying at Bonnie Brae House.
Also, God richly blessed works of praise.

He is so thankful that he was strengthened by receiving the spiritual blessing of thanks and praise!

Participated online in the Martyrdom anniversary service in Nagasaki

On February 7th, a special service to commemorate 26 saints' martyrdom was held at the hill of Nishizaka, Nagasaki, starting at 2 pm.  At midnight in NY time, we attended the service online.
We are grateful to have been able to share them with its blessing.

I felt the deep, abundant presence of the Lord even through the internet;
the delivered messages deeply spoke to my heart.

I was encouraged to pray that the strength of the Lord would be manifested by relying on Him in prayer, while praising the Lord, and being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Hawaii Team has been blessed

We have come back from the team sent to Hawaii from Jan. 23 through Jan. 26.
I appreciate those of you who prayed for us.

It took us about 20 hours to fly from NYC to Honolulu via Los Angeles;
we were able to join in the first service on the first day with Hawaii Team on time, without feeling exhausted at all.

On the first day, one person came from San Francisco to attend the service and three from Los Angeles.  We saw many devout people gather together from other churches.

On the morning of the second day, the team members and some others headed to the hill of Tantalus.
Soon after we arrived at the hill, a rainbow appeared; it became bigger to make an arch and brighter!
We saw the base of the rainbow over the city, and it was an impressive clear double rainbow.

We took that rainbow as God's confirmation of blessing and promise, as found in Noah's story in the Bible.
I felt as if God confirmed that He would certainly bring to pass what He had promised to us.
The sign of this rainbow encouraged me to pray and obey God further.

In the service there was a deep presence of the Lord and the message delivered by Pastor Akimoto spoke to my heart deeply.

I heard the healing had took place through the word of knowledge in the ministry time.

I give thanks and praise to the Lord for everything He has done throughout the team.

Pastor and Mrs. Daniel Asano have decided to participate in the mission team sent to Hawaii from Jan. 23 through Jan. 26.

It is the step of faith.

Please take a look at the team's blog about how it is doing in real time.

Joint Prayer Meeting

Mr. H whom Pastor Daniel Asano made friends with in Christ suffers pancreas cancer.

Pastor Asano has been praying for him since I heard that news.

There are many friends of Mr. H's in some churches, it has been decided to have a joint prayer meeting for him among those churches in New Jersey.

Pastor Asano misunderstood the time and couldn't participate in it.
On a later date, he was shown the video of that prayer meeting and prayed for him together in accord.

In the video, Mr. H shared his testimony, saying that the cancer was steadily shrinking although the anticancer treatment was very difficult and that he had a vision of talking about God's healing and miracle.

Worship Service on January 1, 2017

On the morning of Jan. 1, Mrs. T and her husband who is from Central South America have come to attend a worship service at Pastor Daniel's apartment in New Jersey.
Pastor Daniel delivered a message from Psalm 103:17, centering on grace.
Later, we heard that the message was timely for her husband and we gave thanks to the Lord for that.
